The news of Darkseid’s involvement in the Justice League film prompted me to go back into the DC Comic Database.

The awards season approaches, and I can’t help but look back.

These aren’t necessarily bad, just a few I would consider ridiculous.

Today’s Hollywood sets release dates before one word of a script is written and loves to hear the word “sequel.” Rarely does Hollywood let more than five years pass these days if they intend to make a second, third or fourth film. Therefore, I tried to put a list together of sequels that didn’t work more than 10 years after the previous installment was released.

I don’t think it’s a secret The Expendables 2 is an opportunity for fading 80’s and 90’s action stars to step back into the spotlight. Although the film signifies the official return of Arnold Schwarzenegger (and Chuck Norris’ beard), I’m not sure a role in the blockbuster means more to anyone than it does to Jean-Claude Van Damme. JCVD has not had a meaningful role in a widely released film since the late 90’s. Therefore, I figured it would be appropriate to go back and rank my favorite JCVD films.
