It’s hard to believe it’s taken Dimension Films nearly six years to get another Scary Movie up and running. The sub-par Scary Movie 4 grossed $178 million dollars worldwide on a $45 million dollar budget. According to Black Film, production has started on Scary Movie 5 with Ashley Tisdale, Terry Crews, Marisa Saks, Erica Ash, Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen, Simon Rex, and Molly Shannon. Anna Faris (who could use a hit) decided to sit this one out. David Zucker is writing and producing fifth installment. Scary Movie 5 hits theaters April 19, 2013.
