The first official poster for Kick-Ass 2 has appeared via the Facebook page for the film. Plot details have been kept under wraps for the most part thus far, but filming indeed begins next month. Jeff Wadlow (who wrote the script) is set to direct the Rated R sequel, with Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn returning as a producer (he has bigger fish to fry preparing X-Men: Days of Future Past). Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Chloe Moretz are all confirmed to return, with Nicholas Cage rumored to be appearing in a cameo role (too bad he can’t have a bigger role considering it is one of the better films he has done in the last 10 years). John Leguizamo joins the cast as one of Red Mist’s bodyguard and Donald Faison was cast today as Doctor Gravity. It’s only been two years since the original, but it will still be interesting to see how the stars slip back into their roles considering they have grown up quite a bit. The poster is nothing to get too excited about, but it’s a start . . .
