First Noah and now George Washington . . . Variety is reporting Darren Aronofsky is shopping around a George Washington film titled The General. Aronofsky would produce and direct the film, based on the script by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (Tower Heist, Accepted). According to the report, the film is not a straight biopic and is described as an “Unforgiven-like tale.” I have no idea what that means, but anything in the hands of Aronofsky is worth taking a look at (except for maybe The Fountain). Aronofsky is preparing to film his big budget Noah picture with Russell Crowe as the title character. Expect all of the presidents to get a closer look from Hollywood if both Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln hit it big with audiences this year.
