You probably would have called me crazy if I told you 10 years ago that Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck would be starring in a film together. Now that Timberlake has street cred in Hollywood, the pairing is seemingly business as usual. Deadline is reporting the two have signed up for New Regency’s Runner, Runner. The film will be set in the world of offshore online gaming and features the relationship between a business founder and his protege (perhaps we will get a final card game between the two at the end after their internet connection goes down). “Runner Runner” refers to a hand made by hitting two consecutive cards on the turn and the river. I don’t believe we have seen a decent gambling picture since Rounders in 1998 (and before that, Maverick in 1994).
